Operating Plan v2 / 90 Days / Remote + Life

Build the business.
Live the life. Both.

A sustainable daily operating system. Remote outreach for the next 3 weeks. Gym, sim, guitar, content — all in. Designed to be held for 90 days without burning out or bouncing.

Goal $10K/mo by Day 270 Floor $5K cash by Day 75 Mode Remote sales-first Review Day 21
The One Law
For the next 90 days, when in doubt — send the next message. If you catch yourself learning a new tool, redesigning your portfolio, or researching the next business model, close the tab and send one more outreach instead.
00 / Read this first

What you traded. Eyes open.

You chose remote-only for 2–4 weeks. That's a real choice and I'm honoring it — but you should know the tradeoff. Remote works slower than in-person at this stage. Your first close will likely take 4–6 weeks instead of 2–3. You'll need higher volume (15+ outbound touches per day instead of 5 visits). Your time-to-cash gets pushed out by 2–3 weeks.

That's fine. It just means: the volume is non-negotiable. Remote-only with low volume = no business. Remote-only with high volume = real pipeline. The bar is higher, not lower.

Day 21 checkpoint: If by then you have at least 1 active proposal out and 2 warm conversations going, we stay remote. If not, we add 2 in-person days per week. Either way, no judgment — just data.

01 / The Offer

One offer. No custom quotes.

Same offer as before — productized, flat-rate, easy to say yes to. Memorize the price. Say it without flinching. Raise it after every 2 closes.

The Starter Site
$1,995 flat / 2 weeks
  • 5 pages, mobile responsive
  • Built on WordPress + Elementor
  • Contact form + Google Maps
  • Basic on-page SEO setup
  • 1 round of revisions
  • Domain + hosting setup help

Price ladder

After 2 closes → $2,495. After 4 closes → $2,995. After 6 closes → Add a Pro tier at $4,995.

The recurring layer

Every site closes with a maintenance offer: $99/month for hosting, updates, small changes (under 30 min/mo). This is your real long-term wealth.

02 / Your Day, Hour by Hour

The integrated daily schedule. Work + life + body.

This is the weekday rhythm. Work happens in two focused blocks — morning sales, afternoon build. Body, sim, guitar, and life all have their slot. Free time is real and protected. No squeezing, no guilt.

Work Body Sim / Content Life / Skills Rest
07:00 – 08:3090 min
Body
Wake + gym
Gym session. Hard cardio or lifting. Don't open your phone before you leave. This sets the tone for the day. Coffee after, not before.
09:00 – 12:003 hrs
Work — Sales Block
Outbound + follow-ups
The most important block of the day. Send 15 outbound touches (email, IG DM, LinkedIn, network message). Send all follow-ups due today. Reply to any inbound leads instantly. This is the only block that pays the bills. Protect it.
12:00 – 13:001 hr
Life — Lunch
Lunch + reset
Eat real food. Step away from the laptop. Walk if you can. No work, no scrolling for leads, no thinking about pipeline. Decompress between blocks.
13:00 – 16:003 hrs
Work — Build Block
Client work / mockups / portfolio
If you have a paid project: work on it. If a hot lead asked for more: build a homepage mockup (1.5 hrs max). If neither: polish your portfolio page, update case studies, or write proposals for warm leads. No tutorials. No learning new tools. Only paid or pipeline work.
16:00 – 17:3090 min
Sim — Content
Reel day (Mon / Wed / Fri only)
Record + edit one Instagram reel. Three per week — Mon, Wed, Fri. Lean motorsports. Driving clips, coaching moments, sim setup, behind-the-scenes. Post it immediately when done. Tue / Thu this slot is free.
17:30 – 18:0030 min
Life — Skill
Guitar
Daily. Pick up the guitar. Even 20 minutes counts. This is the part of the day that isn't about money or output — it's about keeping yourself a whole person while you grind.
18:00 – 20:002 hrs
Life — Free
Free time / dinner / life
Genuinely open. Eat dinner. See people. Read. Watch something. Date. Run errands. Do nothing. The plan only works if this block exists. Don't fill it with more work — fill it with life.
20:00 – 21:001 hr
Sim — Practice
Sim hour
Race. Practice. Whatever you want. This is your nightly thing. Don't film it (unless you naturally feel like it) — this is for you, not for content.
21:00 – 23:002 hrs
Wind down
Off / sleep prep
Phone away by 22:30 ideally. Update tracker briefly (5 min). Note tomorrow's 3 priorities. Read something analog. Sleep by 23:00 so you can wake at 06:30. Sleep is part of the plan, not separate from it.

The time math

Gym: 1.5h. Work: 6h. Sim: 1h + 1.5h content (3x/wk). Guitar: 30min. Free time: 2h. Sleep: 7.5h. That's a real day, not a punishing one. The discipline is in protecting the work block — not in working more hours.

03 / The Weekly View

04 / The Remote Outreach Playbook

Where the 15 daily touches go. Per day, weekdays only.

Remote-only means volume is everything. 15 touches/day × 5 days × 12 weeks = 900 touches in your 90 days. At even a 1% close rate, that's 9 clients. Realistically with good copy + warm channels mixed in, you should land 4–8.

Channel 01 / Highest priority

Warm network — 5 messages/day

Friends, family, past clients, PCA contacts, sim racers, Skip Barber colleagues, anyone who knows you. Personalized DMs asking for intros. Reuse the script. Work through your entire list in week 1, then circle back monthly.

Channel 02 / Bread + butter

Cold email to local businesses — 8/day

Find small businesses with bad websites via Google Maps (search "[business type] near [your city]"). Get their email from their site or Instagram. Send a short, specific cold email — not generic. Include a screenshot of one thing you'd fix.

Channel 03 / Slow but compounding

Instagram DM to local accounts — 2/day

Find businesses with active IG but weak websites. DM the owner directly. Compliment one specific thing about their content, mention the site, offer to send a free homepage mockup if interested.

Channel 04 / Background layer

Motorsports content + presence

3 reels/week, motorsports-leaning. Story posts about web work you're doing. This isn't direct outreach — it's a slow audience build so that in months 3–6, motorsports leads start finding you.

05 / The Scripts

Copy these. Personalize one line. Send.

Network message

DM / Text — to your 20–50 contacts Hey [Name] — quick favor. I'm focused on building websites for small businesses this quarter and I'm trying to fill my pipeline. If you know anyone whose site is rough or who's mentioned needing one, I'd really appreciate an intro. Recent work: pizza shop, restaurant, gym influencer, a couple of drivers. Even long-shot leads help. Appreciate you.

Cold email — local business

Email — short, specific, attach screenshot Hey [Name] — saw [Business Name] online and noticed your current site loads slow on mobile / looks dated / doesn't have a contact form / etc. I build websites for small businesses at a $1,995 flat rate, 2-week turnaround. Mobile-first, fast, with proper SEO setup. Portfolio: [link]. If you want, I'll send a quick homepage mockup so you can see what your site could look like — no charge, no obligation. Worth a 5-min reply?

Instagram DM

IG DM — keep it casual, lead with compliment Hey — love your [latest reel / content / vibe]. Quick one: noticed your website is doing your brand kind of dirty compared to your IG. I build sites for small businesses, $1,995 flat. Happy to send a free mockup of what your homepage could look like if you're open to it. No pressure.

Mockup follow-up — the closer

After they engage with first message Awesome — give me 48 hours and I'll send over a homepage mockup so you can see what's possible. No charge, no obligation. If you like it, we move forward at $1,995 and I deliver in 2 weeks. If not, you keep the design as inspiration. Sound fair?

Maintenance retainer close

After site delivery Site's live and you love it — let's keep it that way. For $99/month I handle hosting, security updates, any small text or image changes you need (under 30 min), and I'm on call if anything breaks. Most of my clients sign up so they don't have to think about it. Want me to set it up?
06 / The Three Phases

Days 0–21, 21–60, 60–90.

0–21Foundation + first leads

What you're building

  • Day 1: Build the Google Sheet tracker. Add your 20–50 network contacts.
  • Day 1–2: Build a clean one-page portfolio in Elementor with your 7 existing projects. Weekend project. Don't touch it after.
  • Day 2–7: Message every one of your network contacts individually. Personalize each one.
  • Day 5 onward: Build a list of 200 local small businesses + their emails (Google Maps + IG).
  • Day 7 onward: Start daily cold email + IG DM volume. 10 outbound/day minimum at first, ramping to 15.
  • Day 14–21: First mockup if a warm lead emerges. Use it to close client #1.
  • Day 21 checkpoint: 1+ proposal out and 2+ warm convos = stay remote. Less = add in-person.
21–60Volume + close rate

What you're building

  • Maintain 15 outbound touches/day. By Day 60, ~600 touches logged.
  • Refine cold email copy based on what gets replies. Track open + reply rates weekly.
  • Close client #1 (by Day 30–35), then #2 and #3 (by Day 60). Raise price to $2,495 after #2.
  • Deliver perfect work on every active project. Ask for written testimonials + permission to use as case study.
  • Referral ask: every closed client gets "do you know one other business that could use a site?" — offer $200 referral credit.
  • Target: $5k+ cash collected by Day 60. Pipeline of 5+ proposals out.
60–90Compound + motorsports layer

What you're building

  • 3–5 closed clients + at least one referral lead. Cash floor rising.
  • Start motorsports-specific outreach: 5 motorsports businesses/week — karting tracks, performance shops, driving schools, sim leagues, racing content creators.
  • Push every past client to maintenance retainer.
  • Keep posting 3 reels/week. Start to see follower growth and inbound DMs about web work.
  • Raise price to $2,995. Add Pro tier at $4,995.
  • Target: $7–10k cash collected by Day 90. 2–3 maintenance clients on retainer.
07 / Weekly Targets

Hit these. Or something is wrong.

The weekly numbers

01
Outbound touches (email + DM + network)
75 / week
02
Follow-up sequences sent
30 / week
03
Real conversations w/ prospects
5–8 / week
04
Mockups for hot leads
1–2 / week
05
Proposals sent
2–3 / week
06
Instagram reels posted
3 / week
07
Gym sessions
5–6 / week
08
Guitar sessions
5–7 / week

If you hit the work numbers for 3 straight weeks and have zero closes, the cold email copy or offer is the bottleneck. Come back, we diagnose. The strategy is solid. Only execution details adjust.

08 / Racing, Coaching, Content

The dream stays. It just doesn't pay the bills yet.

RULE 01
Take any coaching session that comes to you. Inbound only. Don't market. Do great work. Ask for testimonials and footage.
RULE 02
3 reels a week, no exceptions. Mon/Wed/Fri. Motorsports-leaning. This is your audience compounding. Boring consistency wins.
RULE 03
Stop outbound sim coaching outreach. You spent a year. The market answered. Save your energy. Let coaching grow back when your platform is bigger.
RULE 04
No racing reinvestment until $10k/mo for 3 straight months. Not "just one track day." Set the rule now so you don't bleed cash later.
RULE 05
Sim hour at night is for YOU, not content. Don't film it. Don't analyze it. Just race. Protect this from becoming work.
09 / The Do Not List

What you are not doing for 90 days.

Every line below is a real temptation that will hurt you. Treat them like off-limits. This includes the AI automation thing you asked about — bring it back in 90 days, not before.

Stop. Don't. Not now.
  • Learn Framer or Webflow
  • Build Claude Code "$10k" sites
  • AI automation agency (revisit Day 90+)
  • LinkedIn ghostwriting side hustle
  • Make liveries for money
  • Start a YouTube channel from scratch
  • Redesign your portfolio mid-month
  • Watch guru videos / buy their courses
  • Buy new sim hardware
  • Lower prices below $1,995
  • Switch your tech stack
  • Outbound sim coaching campaigns
10 / The Money Map

Where the cash comes from.

MONTH 1
$0–2K
Maybe 1 close. Pipeline filling.
MONTH 2
$3–5K
2 closes. Floor stabilized.
MONTH 3
$5–7K
3 closes + first retainers.
MONTH 6
$8–12K
Referrals + motorsports leads.

Remote-only adds 2–3 weeks to month-1 cash. That's the cost of the choice. Make it up with volume.

One last thing.

This plan has gym, sim, guitar, content, and real free time in it. You can hold it for 90 days without collapsing. That matters more than how aggressive the work blocks look — a plan you can hold beats a plan you can't.

The discipline isn't in working more hours. It's in protecting the work block that exists. 9 AM to 12 PM is sacred. The rest of the day is yours.

Go send 10 messages.
